I got my first rabbit, Thumper, in 2006... a beautiful and affectionate Mini Lop. When he was 4 months old, I decided he needed some friends, and I soon after received 2 more bunnies, a buck and a doe... whom I named Sugar and Spice!
I decided to breed Sugar and Thumper, as I had read much on rabbits, and breeding them. I was blessed and thankful for Sugar to have given me 6 beautiful kits... I kept my favorite, a broken Orange doe I named Lilly and gave the rest away to some close friends!
So, to make a long story short..... I fell in love with bunnies.
I am now a small 25 hole rabbitry, and do not have every cage filled, nor wish to expand much more. I strive to devote as much time to my bunnies as I can, as individual family members.... they're like children to me! We aren't big scale bunny breeders, that's not what we want at all, but we look at it like, the less bunnies, the more attention they can have, and quality over quantity!
Lastly, I cannot neglect to say that without God, I wouldn't be where I am today. He gave me the strength and determination to pull through each time I felt discouraged, or frustrated when litters passed away or when I had to let go of bunnies that had died, especially when it came to Stormy. He gave me the strength to go on, and do what I love helping and raising my animals. God helps me with raising my bunnies, just as he helps me in all that I do.

Our Name?
The name Regal Rabbitry comes from my childhood. My best childhood friend and I, being young imaginative children, would always dream up different stories, which of course, always involved animals. I had my bunnies, and she had a couple of breeding Nubian goats. We used to pretend that our pets were rulers of kingdoms all around the world. Imagine a world ruled by Lagamorphs and Ruminants?!?! Once I decided to truly make this a business, and my imagination wasn't so wide (Though it has never fully deminished!), I wanted to choose a name that tied my now flourishing rabbitry back to it's roots, and back to when Thumper, Sugar, and Lilly were the Royal family of England! Regal essentially means Royal. Since I treat my bunnies like they belong on pedestals (Trust me, they think so too!) and I had such a wide imagination as an 11 year old, pretending my rabbits were kings and queens, empresses and emperors, I wanted to find something that fit in nicely with it all. Regal Bunnies just doesn't work, so I went for the RR, Regal Rabbits as our ARBA registered name, Regal Rabbitry is who we are :)

All of my bunnies receive the best care and affection, and live in big roomy hutches/cages.They all eat a balanced diet of Blue Seal Hutch 18 feed with added oats, and to keep them in happy, and tip top shape....receive fresh veggies and papaya complete pills for digestion!
